Marty Supreme is a 1950s-set film about Marty Mauser (Timothée Chalamet), a New York shoe salesman with big dreams of becoming a table tennis champion, who gets entangled in hustles, affairs (with Gwyneth Paltrow's character), and dangerous schemes to fund his ambition, taking him from NYC to London and Tokyo, ultimately exploring themes of aspiration, ego, and the consequences of pursuing greatness at any cost, even as the world of ping pong moves on.
